Firstly, hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Secondly, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
So yes I am still pregnant and my little one hasn't decided to surprise me yet. I am 38+4 weeks pregnant with just 10 days away from my due date so I am hoping even just a day early haha! Me and my partner are literally just playing the waiting game and it feels so much longer now knowing that your labor could be any second.
I have tried to bring on labor naturally with doing squats, nipple stimulation and walking for miles, but none of that so far has worked on my little one and I suppose it is best not to rush something so special.
Symptoms
So this week I haven’t been too bad. I have noticed an increase in my braxton hicks contractions and them becoming slightly more painful. I am now like every other lady at this point aching in every possible body part and just want him here. I have actually got away with not using Gaviscon for a couple of nights this week! Which is amazing!! Another thing which is amazing is I have actually slept the passed 2 nights in a row sleeping all the way through! Not even waking up to go a toilet... YAY!
38 Week Antenatal Appointment
I had my 38 week antenatal appointment Friday just gone, because I only had an appointment a week ago my check up was not as thorough. My midwife still measured my belly and told me it had grow 1cm, (maybe due to all the Christmas and New Years food!) she also measured his heartbeat which was beating very quick at 141bpm. I didn't have to do a urine sample either due to having 2 appointments so close.
First Health Visitor Appointment
So yesterday afternoon me and my partner has our first health visitor appointment. We was very unsure on what to expect because we didn't realise we saw her before birth. It was ABSOLUTELY nothing to worry about, she gave us a variety of booklets all including information from things such as feeding, safe sleeping, postnatal depression, when we next see them and how to get the baby weighed. That was mainly it, our appointment lasted around 30 minutes and it was very helpful and good to know your health visitor who will be seeing you after hospital.
38 Week Pregnant Belly.

Them stretch marks have now made their appearance!! Yes I do have stretch marks and considering they have only just appeared going 38 weeks without them has been quite impressive. They have only appeared around my belly button so only a few. My baby bump has dropped and it feels so weighty and feels as though I can physically feel him laying and putting his weight on me now.
